We’d like to welcome our newest staff members to the Gragg Advertising team. Read more about how they’ll be contributing to the team here, as well as any quirks they were willing to divulge….
Brian VanNote, PPL Marketing Coordinator
Prior to joining Gragg Advertising, Brian has worked in several industries – including public relations, food service and mutual funds. He was drawn to Gragg because of the vast growth the organization has seen in the last year. He also loves the coffee mug we’ve given him.
Brian graduated from Mizzou in 2005 with Bachelor of Science in journalism, with an emphasis in strategic communications.
Brian enjoys food and wine and loves cooking all types of cuisine. Although he does admit that he has a soft spot for PBR and Chili Cheese Fritos. He also enjoys hiking and maximizing efficiencies for the blue team clients.
Mark Buchele, Media Director
Prior to joining the team at Gragg Advertising, Mark was a Vice President/Account Director at Barkley in Kansas City. After the loss of one of the largest clients, Sonic Drive-In, Mark began his searching for a new job. His search ended shortly after it’s beginning as Gragg soon recruited him for the Media Director position. While at Barkley, Mark also worked on the Build-A-Bear Workshop account. Prior experience includes Wieden + Kennedy working on Nike, Bates USA working on Wendy’s and Leo Burnett working for True-Value and Heinz.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys a good trip to Costco. He also enjoys family activities and hanging out with his three kids, ages 10, eight and five. His pastimes include hiking, camping, fishing, golfing (badly), road trips, KU basketball, surfing the net, roller coasters, half-priced appetizers, DIY projects, reading and sampling local microbrews.
Mark can be found wherever he’s most needed! At Gragg, when he’s not in a conference room, his designated area is on the second floor, behind the key-coded door.
Mark attended Washburn University, receiving his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies. He received his Master’s of Science in Advertising from the University of Kansas.
Prior to coming to Gragg Advertising, Lisa worked for about a year as an Event Coordinator/Recruiter for a credit card processing company. She has also interned at Ogilvy & Mather, as well as two smaller agencies in Florida.
Lisa graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in Packaging Science. That lucky girl was able to be at UF for four national championships! Before moving to Kansas City, she was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Fl.
Lisa enjoys the ocean, traveling, baking and cooking (to the best of her abilities), riding bikes, happy hour, live concerts and watching Netflix documentaries. Her guilty pleasures are garage sales, raw cookie dough, stationary sets, iced coffee and lip balm.
Krista Dunleavy, PPL Marketing Coordinator
Before joining the team at Gragg she worked at Zillner Marketing, Lenexa, Kan., as a Client Service Account Executive. Krista graduated from Kansas State with a marketing degree where she was in the sorority Chi Omega.
Recently, she moved downtown and is enjoying exploring the area. Directions though, are not her specialty. She is excited to be living and working downtown and to be part of the PPL team here at Gragg!
When she’s not a work, she enjoys relaxing – reading a book, watching a movie or cooking. She also enjoys lying poolside in the summer.
Kellen Doody, Operations Marketing Coordinator.
Well, Kellen technically isn’t new, she’s just transferred to the Operations Department to help with Marketing and Product Development.
We’re really excited to each and everyone here at Gragg on our team! Feel free to congratulate our new employees as well.
